HEALTH PLANS FOR FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS
AMS is here to help families find affordable health plans for all, from individual to large families, by offering products and services from recognized health insurance companies/carriers. We offer ACA/Marketplace plans (former Obamacare) and private insurance plans.
The current Open Enrollment Period is from November 1, 2021 to January 15, 2022. Individuals and families that enroll during OEP 2021, coverage begins January 1, 2022. For the enrollments in January, coverage begins February 1st, 2022.
After the Open Enrollment ends, people can enroll in an ACA (Affordable Care Act) plan only if they qualify for a “Special Enrollment Period”. If you have a “Qualifying Life Event”, considered a major life change. For instance, lost qualifying health coverage in the past 60 days or expects to lose coverage in the next 60 days, change of residence, changes in the household, got married, divorced, had a baby, etc.
People that missed OEP and do not have a “Qualifying Life Event” can still get enrolled in a private insurance plan. Some of these options provide flexible, fixed benefit health medical to short term plans, alternative products that grew and are still growing in popularity because there are affordable, they are portable and some provide an extensive network of providers.
